In 2007, an architect, general contractor, and two carpenters were working together when the idea came up that many of the tools and materials they were using had not been improved for generations. They committed to be on the lookout for ways to build better mousetraps. Eventually, they formed a company that now also includes as owners a proven business developer, a sales professional, a roofer, and a mason. The company’s tagline became: “Products that make jobs less work.”
The criteria they agreed to apply to any new product idea were:
